Move Union Reformer Pilates Certification
Move Union’s Reformer Certification gives you everything you need to become a confident, in-demand Reformer Pilates instructor, or to deepen your own knowledge and practice.
If you….
WANT TO TEACH REFORMER PILATES AND LOVE THE DYNAMIC, MODERN APPROACH
(Because not all Pilates Instructor training programs are the same), or you simply want to improve your own personal knowledge and understanding of Pilates for your own practice
This is for you…
Learn the Classical origins of the Pilates system (so you have a well-respected foundation in Pilates, not just a quickie reformer course)
Add in contemporary updates and flows that build on modern science and fitness principles for classes that are dynamic and engaging, and that clients LOVE.
Be able to teach private clients and groups with confidence and ease as a certified Reformer Pilates teacher.
What’s Covered
Pilates Principles and Fundamentals
We’ve put everything you need to know about the Pilates system and fundamentals into a pre-course training so that you you can teach Reformer, even if you don’t have a Mat Pilates certification.
Traditional Reformer Repertoire
Each of the core movements will be taught, that align with what we know as a ‘traditional’ or classical Pilates class. You’ll have a solid foundation recognised by any studio that you wish to teach in.
Innovative Dynamic Reformer Repertoire
We’ll give you an innovative repertoire for a dynamic, modern and creative approach. You’ll learn options for all levels from beginners to more advanced so that you can cater to all levels. (You don’t have to be at an advanced level yourself yet, we will teach you these exercises in the program.)
The Business of Pilates
We’ll share our networking tips, and how to get started as an instructor so you can teach as soon as possible after your course. We’ll give you insights into how to succeed at auditions or with studio interviews, and where to gain experience when you’re starting out.
Anatomy and Physiology
Anatomy and physiology so you can truly understand what’s happening in the body, the WHY behind the exercises, and how to create safe, effective classes.
This is taught via an online study prior to your training, so you can take it at your own pace.
Teaching Skills
Learn how to manage groups effectively and to monitor and modify moves and series as you go so that everyone feels like they’re a star in your class. You’ll learn the art of cueing, and hands on adjustments so that you can lead a class with confidence, even if you’ve never done this before and class planning.
Imagine when…
You get to do what you love (yes..Pilates!) for a living & spread your passion with others.
Waking up excited to go to work and spend your days doing what lights you up, while helping people feel stronger, fitter and healthier.
Get paid to do what you love, with flexible hours and the choice to join a studio team, teach around children or another job, create your own client base, or start your own studio!
Or simply improve your Pilates techniques so you get more out of your own workouts and practice, feeling stronger and more mobile from the inside out.

Our training is dynamic reformer course that blends classical and innovative exercises, created for today’s boutique studios.
The Move Union style is aimed at group reformer class instructors (but can equally be used for private clients). Unlike some other courses, it's not physio or rehab focused, and we base our training around creative, contemporary programming that also gives you the classical foundations from which it's derived. Think of it as the best of both worlds.
-
You'll be a certified Reformer Pilates Instructor endorsed by Move Union and be able to teach globally.
-
You don't need to do Mat Pilates certification prior to taking this program.
We include a Pilates Foundations module which covers the need-to-knows if you aren't mat qualified,
However, lots of our students do choose to certify in both as it makes them a well -rounded instructor and the programs complement each other.
If you choose to take Mat Pilates, you can do it either before or after your Reformer course.
That said, those who have taken Mat Pilates will find some of the Reformer course more familiar as they repeat concepts.
