  • Yes! Even if you have no experience you can train with us. We have people from all backgrounds take our programs, from those looking for a career change to those who simply want to deepen their own practice.

  • In-Person Training: you have up to 6 months after your in-studio training to complete your practical hours and assessment submission. You may complete this in as little as 1 month.

We recommend you allow 1-2 months if studying part time to complete your pre-learning modules, before a live course.

Online Training: you have 9 months to complete the course (6 months for the online modules + 3 months to finish your practical hours and assessment submission). You can finish in as little as 1 month if studying full-time, though most take 3-6 months.

  • You’ll need to complete the following:

    • All of your online modules, which are assessed by quizzes

    • Your live teacher training (or online teacher training)

    • Practice hours including observation, participation and teaching hours

    • A practical test out (either in the studio or via video)

    • A completed class plan

  • No, but we do recommend that you’ve attended at least 20 mat or Reformer Pilates classes in the past.

Our courses are very comprehensive and will give you everything you need, even if you’re starting out.

You will find the Reformer course easier if you have a prior Mat Pilates or barre certification, as some of the skills learnt build on that found in Mat and barre, but many people choose to do Reformer first.

  • Yes - all our courses include an Anatomy Fundamentals program designed to introduce you to the key concepts. Don’t feel daunted by learning anatomy, we break it down into easy-to-understand steps.

  • Our in person courses are held at MOHIITO studio, Hampton Lane, Redland BS8 3QP. We can recommend local hotels if you’re coming to Bristol for the training

  • No. Move Union’s programs leading Pilates courses equip you to become a certified Mat or Reformer Instructor without the need for a government recognised qualification.

You can teach in both the UK and internationally.

Our training will enable you to work and be insured to teach through industry-recognised certifications and inspire others in your community.

  • No, this course is not a Level 3 course. In the UK, a 'Qualification' is considered an 'Industry Award,' covering extensive courses like Pilates Mat, Yoga Mat, and Personal Trainer certifications, all classified as Level 3 qualifications.

However, it's important to recognize that Level 3 qualifications are specific to the UK and are not recognized internationally.

Leading international Pilates training providers, such as Basi, Balanced Body, Stott, and Polestar, operate UK training schools without offering Level 3 courses. These well-established brands leverage their reputation and follow their own teaching philosophies, delivering courses in a personalized and tailored manner. They effectively train hundreds of instructors in the UK annually without needing Level 3 certification.

It's also noteworthy that many veteran Pilates instructors in the UK, who qualified over 20 years ago, do not hold a Level 3 qualification because it did not exist at that time. This does not detract from their ability to teach Pilates or the validity of their credentials. Many of the most experienced Pilates teachers in the UK do not possess a Level 3 certificate.

If you're unsure whether you need a Level 3 qualification, consider these questions:

Does your insurance company require a Level 3 qualification? We can refer you to companies who do not require a Level 3 for insurance.

Does your employer demand a Level 3 certified instructor?

The answers to these questions will help you determine whether to pursue a Level 3 qualification or opt for the non-Level 3 course.

  • Yes we do. You can also ask us if you’d like to pay via Klara and we’ll send you the sign up link with that option

  • We recommend doing as many hours as possible in-person at a studio(s) of your choice. If you are in a location or circumstance where you are unable to attend a physical studio, you can do your participation and observation hours via an online studio, or some hours in-person and some online. We will make the classes at our Bristol studio available for you observe and set you up with a saving on classes.
